I recently found these high-quality scans of original Zodiac letters and codes. Seeing the full pages of these documents, and in full color, have resulted in a key breakthrough.,

408 Code – Part 2. Sent to the SF Examiner

Bote that it is mislabeled as Chronicle and was recorded upside down.

408 Code – Part 3. Sent to the SF Chronicle

Note that this code is mislabeled as San Francisco Examiner. This is the part of the code that Zodiac said contained his identity. In the fourth line, starting with the 4th character, is the sequence GYKE. This sequence solves to AUSE.

Paul Stine letter – Sent to the SF Chronicle; 10/13/69

Interesting to note that Zodiac mentions Washington and Maple, the address that was in Paul Stine’s log book, and not Washington and Cherry, one block west, where the murder occurred.

“Bus Bomb” letter – Sent to the SF Chronicle; 11/9/69

Note that in this letter he says he will no longer announce his killings and instead make them look like something else.

Note the penmanship changing in real time, from the neat style at the beginning of the page, getting increasingly slanted and worse, especially on to page t2.
